Eurovision in Baku 2012! (VII)

Europe: Are you on fire today?
And everything is affixed to the grand final tonight. Finished the dress rehearsals, which were marked by a small incident with Loreen, who choked on a snowflake and failed to give a treble in this part of music - even after he recovered quickly, the notes that followed were affected .

I have spoken enough about the finalists that came from the semifinals, so I will dedicate myself more to BIG5 and the host.
The United Kingdom will open the evening with Engelbert Humperdinck. He is this second senior artist in the final addition to ladies from Russia. Unfortunately, he must haven't the same success in the televoting as they.
I have serious doubts about the future of this music. The singer has a voice strong and pleasing to hear, but the style so classical makes the music too dated in time.
With competition from Russia, the United Kingdom should be more favored by the judges but even so they should not put him in the TOP10.

Still in the first half of the performances, comes the France soon followed by Italy. Also in the French case, what stands out above all is the voice of Anggun. After one of the clips more ... original and strangest of all, performance is not far behind, and although the other elements in the scene that will stand out is the voice and charisma of the singer.
Juries should favor very this song, which should also please to the public. Certainly deserved a better place than the country obtained last year.

As for Italy, the charisma that Nina Zilli reflected in the video with a very bohemian  touch remains on the stage. However, I think there is nothing else that enhances the music. The entire stage is too empty and the choir does not magnify the music. Nina Zilli took 2nd place in the OGAE votes, but I have my doubts that this will also happen today.

The host country, for me has been one of the big positive surprises of the rehearsals.. The official video clearly shows that Sabina has a great vocal tract, and she could reflect very well on stage. Their presence and charisma are enough to fill the stage and carry listeners into the spirit of music.

The last two members of Big5 to perform are Spain soon followed by Germany. I confess that Pastora on stage shows their good vocal and performance, but the truth is that the music is nothing special: on the contrary, is a music very similar to many others who have been through Eurovision. I can not understand much cronyism around this music. Still should reverse the terrible results that Spain has achieved in recent years.

The latter from Big5 to act will be Germany. A good song on the American style, but with a very simple and relaxed performance, which ultimately does not take brilliance or the song nor to the singer. I can not guarantee that he will get the same success that Lena Meyer-Landrut, but deserves a good final ranking.

For the rest of the finalists, everything is open. Apart from Russia, we expect big surprises for the Balkans and the countries of Scandinavia.

To me, they are even the Scandinavian countries that are to be congratulated for weight bets that brought to Eurovision, including Finland, which brought a weaker proposal, it is true, but still was very badly used. All the sandinavian finalists deserve good ratings. Let's see if the favoritism of Loreen remains despite all the controversy and evil lies in the form of rumors that have circulated over Loreen.

And to prove the favoritism around Loreen and Buranovskiye Babushki, is the fact that the message about Sweden and Russia is by far the most viewed of all in this blog, followed by the message about Norway and Germany.

Other major surprises, will be the usual Greece that Cyprus is joined, the other giants of the East - Turkey, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine - although not to the liking of the jury, will collect enough points from the televoting, due to musical genres that they present and by having large diaspora in Europe.
On the other hand, Albania, Estonia and Lithuania will also surprising, because they are songs that are pleasing enough to juries.

I wish good luck to all participants and, although not be happening, that the best really wins. I hope the quality overlaps the votes and political interests.
