Eurovision: walking to Baku 2012! (I)

One of the topics that will often be covered in this blog, will be the Eurovision or not I myself had recently become a big fan of this festival.
My first post on this topic is about the countries that already have all the work done (song and artist chosen) for this year: more precisely, Albania and Switzerland.

Switzerland & SINPLUS:

The first country to select their representation was Switzerland yet in 2011, more precisely on December 10th. The choice to represent this country from the Alps in Baku, was the band SINPLUS with the song "Unbreakable".

As for the competition, only highlight the participation of Chiara Dubey (ranked 3rd) eould also be a good choice, and also Ivo (ranked 2nd) with the song "Peace&Freedom".
I think it was a good choice and I not share the opinion of those who think that Switzerland followed the same linen of 2009, when they chose the band "Lovebugs": the differences are obviosly many more than the similarities.
Perhaps the comment that must be take seriously is the poor quality of pronunciation: it's true that the lyrics isn't easy to pronounce especially for those who don't have English as their native language, but they may need to make some improvements in this regard.

Albania & Rona Nishliu

After the poor result of Albania last year, which failed to go beyond the 14th in the semi-final, this Balkan Country brings now a very emotional ballad.
Although I'm not a big fan of this music, I recognize the musical quality and the strong emotivity that the artist delivers to the music.
As for direct competition, both the 2nd and the 3rd ranked didn't constitute big threat: this was undoubtedly the best decision in the internal selection.
It's too early to know whether this country will have a chance this year to pass the final against the competition.
But the truth is that this country has not been graced by very luck in the contest: in addition to the 7th place in 2004 (when the country debut in Eurovision), the best were the 16th and 17th places.
For me the great injustice will have been in 2010: a very vibrant music and full of emotion, with a singer Juliana Pasha, very charismatic and with an attractive style and musically, it was only the 16th place in the final.
Let us hope by the competition from other countries to see what the opportunities that this country may have.

Good luck to both countries!!!!
