Eurovision: walking do Baku 2012! (VI)

With the choices of countries have nearly finished, here are my comments on two more choices.

BELARUS AND LITESOUND
The final took place on February 14thand gave the victory to Alyona Lanskaya, but always showed my preference for 2nd place.
Well, finally it seems that most of the public who voted in the final, shared thesame opinion as me. Is that on 24 February (10 days after the victory of Aloyana), emerged rumors of the existence of fraud in the accounting and allocation of votes from the public. The president ordered an investigation that would eventually conclude that Aloyana victory was achieved by manipulating the votes from the public either on her partas by its producers.

The result was the downgrading of Aloyana and, after internal deliberation the broadcaster responsible for the selection of the representative of Belarus, the victory was eventually given to 2nd placethe band Litesound with the song "We are the heroes."

This music will have much more success with the public, specially with the younger age group, who most often vote for this kind of FestivalThe music gets in the ear (nothing to compare to the previous winner) in addition to energy and the message itself they transmitIt is a pop style very popular in the Eurovision and is not as commonplace as other choices already made by other countries.
Both the semifinal and in the final you can see the younger public delirious in the performance of Litesoundwhat made the Aloyana victory even more strange.

It is an excellent choice for the band who participated in 20062008 and 2009 in the internal selection but has never been selectedin 2008 won the 2nd and the 3rd in 2009.
It seems that this time justice has been done.

UKRAINE AND GAITANA
Since its debut in 2004, except in 2003 and 2005, Ukraine has been one of the best performing countries in Eurovision: never miss a final, was once in 1st place and two in 2nd in the final, and once in 2nd and other in 1st in the semifinals.
Again, Ukrainian's representation is given to a female voice, the singer Gaitana Essami 32 years old, which interprets the song "Be My Guest". The music may surprise many people who are not accustomed to the kind of music that this country from East, often leads to Eurovision. If it were another country, we might ask what planet these people came from but, in view of past representations as the 2007 and 2009, this song is perfectly normal. As I say, this music is has the typical style of Ukrainian music. And everything is said. The music is very comical, animated and the artist has a strong stage presence beyond the obvious physical attributes: it has a unique and captivating style that matches well with the music.
Even though the musical qualities of the singer, which are fairly good, or the lyricsare far below those from competitors, for sure that this song mainly because of his live performance so energetic, original and even a little eccentric to score in the semifinal which will act.
Despite the song "Be My Guest" have been in 1st place by the jury, the music just got the 2nd place in the televoting. Many people (where I include myself) are not totally satisfied with the decision. One of the most discussed alternative winners, is the 2nd place (2nd in the jury and 3rd in the televoting), Max Barskih with the song "Dance". Although it is also by far my favorite, I have to admit that the qualities of voice and pitch in the live performance at the festival selection were slightly below expectations.Certainly if this were not small, but just as important, detail and had considered the decision even more unfair.

I do not think this time Ukraine fails a final of Eurovision. In addition to the unique qualities that I have already said about the song, at this semifinal are some countries in East and Eurasia (Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia and Turkey) that can not vote in Russia by this part in the other semifinal (and case of Turkey also in Azerbaijan),will focus their voting intentions in Ukraine.

Good luck for both countries!
