Eurovision: walking to Baku 2012! (IV)

As we approach the deadline for each country to present its representation to the festival this year, more countries select and / or submit their representations. Here are my comments to two more choices.

HUNGARY AND COMPACT DISCO
Hungary's participation has been very irregular, both as to assiduity of presences, as also the quality and ratings of their performancesThe big surprise was undoubtedly the last year, when the song "What about my dreams?played by Kati wolf and pointed by many eurofãs and specialists in this area as a potential winneror at least be positioned in TOP5 ended unexpectedly in 22nd place (but we need to admit that provide both live in the semifinal and the final one left ... many in the audience a little disappointed).

This year Hungary also brings a choose completely different from last year. The choice fellon the Hungarian band "Compact Disc", founded in 2008 with the theme "Sound of Our Hearts." The music is not as 'eurofriendly' like Kati Wolf, or as few choices already made by other countries this year. For this reason, has by his side the advantage of being a more original in this type of competition. I have nothing negative to make about the music, both the melody and the lyrics. The band has a very unique style and captivating. And not only was the best choice from the competition as a great choice.Although, one of the runnersGábor Heincz with the song "Learning to let go" would also be a great choice: it is even more original than the winner, is freshpositive and verypleasing to the ear.
Moreoverthe five countries that have more points to Hungary (Poland, which was the 2ndcountry to give more points to Hungary, as will not participate this yearis not taken intoaccount)only Sweden (which is the 4th country which gave more votes to Hungary), will not vote in the semifinal in which Hungary will compete.

But not everything is rosy in the choice of Hungary. If you criticize the weak pronunciation of singer Sinplus (the band that will represent Switzerland), what about the vocalist of this bandAnd the problems go far beyond the indictment, which hurts me in this performance is very poor mjusical quality of the vocalist. So far, I believe the televoting put this song in the top 10 voted to pass the final. If the singer does not dramatically improve his performance, they can hardly the same feat by the jury.

ICELAND AND GRETA SALÓME & JÓNSI
This was so far, for me one of the most unexpected choiceI am not saying that this was a bad choice. He went to the best choice among the candidates there. On competition more directly, the 2nd place, the group Blar Opal with music "Stattu Upp," the positive aspect to point out was the music (both the lyrics and melody): again providing live and the weak interpretation laid everything to lose.
The choice was very different from what the country has shown in past festivalsAnother example of a song very unique in this kind of festivals. Although not a big fan of this kind of music, I recognize the voice quality of the performers and I am sure that they can have a good live performance at the festival. And the passion that is visible to both deliver music, and can create a musical environment very pleasant.

Unlike Hungary, this song is more likely to appeal more to the jury than the televotingOf the 10 countries that have far more points to Iceland since 2004, will vote in this semifinalDenmark, Finland, Hungary and Spain.
Given the existing competition, also some "edges" need to be "filed" for a good performance.

Good luck to both countries!!!
